FAQ
SmashStarter App

Open the Settings (the gear icon at the top right of the Cards screen) and pick your language. By default the app follows your device language. SmashStarter is fully available in English, German and French.

Open any card and tap the + icon, then choose “New training”. You can also go to the Trainings tab, tap + to create an empty session, and add cards to it afterwards.

Open a training from the Trainings tab. There you can add more cards (+ button), remove single cards (trash icon) and reorder them by pressing and dragging. To rename a session, tap the pencil icon next to it in the Trainings list.

In the Trainings tab, tap the trash icon next to the session and confirm. To remove just one card from a session, open the session and tap the trash icon on that card.

On the Cards screen, tap “Random Training” to instantly get one card from each category. Not happy with the mix? Tap “Shuffle again” — or “Save” to keep it as a training.

Favorites are the drills you want quick access to. Tap the heart on any card to save it; all your saved drills then appear under the Favorites tab.

Open a card and tap the note icon (top right). Write your note — e.g. “use pool noodles instead of hoops” — and save. Cards with a note show a small marker so you can find them again.

Simply tap the card to flip it. The front shows the drill at a glance; the back has the full details, sequence, variations and coaching tips.

Place two fingers on the card and pinch to zoom in for a closer look at the diagram. Pinch back to zoom out.

The cards can’t be printed from within the app. If you’d like a physical set, the printed TrainCard deck — sturdy and with rounded corners — is available at smashstarter.com.

Your sessions are saved on your device. Direct sharing isn’t available yet — it’s on our roadmap for a future update.

Your trainings are stored locally on your device and are always available offline. An export feature is planned for a future update.
